These customer-specific cylinders with a 12 meter stroke, are so called passive heave compensation cylinders. Work can be carried out during high swell of the sea’s because the movements of the ship can be efficiently compensated for.

These high-quality cylinders are certified by certifying agency Det Norske Veritas (DNV). DNV is the world’s largest certifying agency for ships and offshore installations.

During the final inspection at WDH premises, a comprehensive pressure test is performed in the presence of the classification authority and optionally the customer. The cylinders are supplied with a data book, with all relevant information and documents such as material certificates, NDT procedures and certificates and the test results.

In addition to the DNV rules, WDH also engineers cylinders according to American Bureau of Shipping, Lloyds, Bureau Veritas and CCS rules.
