Together we are stronger

In 2013 WDH celebrated its 20-year anniversary. All that has lead up to this anniversary has been documented in an anniversary book, in which we mostly talk about our customers and suppliers. Together we form one big family.

That is how we prefer to work, based on trust. This creates continuity and complete focus on what is most important: to contribute to our client’s durable production goals, with the least amount of unexpected costs.

WDH lives and breathes hydraulics

It is a special, broad and fun area of work that keeps on fascinating us. That is why our team of over 40 people is working on the area with such pleasure. And a few years ago, we literally got more space to do so:

Since 2013 we have been in Eersel, on the Meerheide company premises It is a beautiful place where we can fully grow with everything we do for the maritime and industrial sectors:

“WDH has been one of our regular suppliers for years now. What started out as an order for one cylinder has now become a complete package ranging from lifting, clamping, and moving hydraulic cylinders. The documentation system is well-developed, and our work methods ensure for a collaboration and eventually it all leads to a quality end product. The work methods are so good, that we even send other suppliers to WDH: ‘Go and check out how they do it.’”

WDH’s employees are professionals who are open to new ideas and concepts. WDH understands our worldwide, economically fluctuating market, and it follows the same line of development as our organisation.”

Hydraulic problems are meant to be solved

Our engineers have never encountered a problem that they could not fix, thanks to years of experience, ingenuity and knowledge of CAD. This means that they always find an effective and efficient solution for you.

Quality and certification

The quality management system of WDH Cylinders is ISO 9001:2015 certified. These types of certifications are important means to continuously improve and optimize our processes.

We are also ISO 3834-2 certified. This is the highest level achievable within the ISO 3482. This guarantees you that WDH uses the agreed procedures and works with qualified welders, under the supervision of a welding coordinator.

Requirements certifying bodies Lloyd’s, Bureau Veritas, DNV, CCS and ABS

We are at all times up to date on the current requirements from the certifying agencies Lloyd’s, Bureau Veritas, DNV, CCS and ABS and Rijkswaterstaat (NBD 6000 norm). Rijkswaterstaat is a waterworks and traffic regulation agency of the Netherlands. Our products also comply with the PED guideline wherever necessary.

A short list of some of our certifications:

Lifting appliances
These requirements are applicable to hoist and lifting equipment on ships, floating supports and steady or offshore platforms that are used:

  • In docks for loading or unloading
  • For not-dock related offshore lifting jobs

Mobile offshore units
This offshore standard contains criteria and technical requirements for the design, construction and commissioning of drilling amenities and affiliated equipment.

Steel Vessels Rules and Regulations for the Classification of Ships
These guidelines state the requirements that are demanded for pressure vessels. There are certain criteria for the use of pressure vessels, of which hydraulic cylinder form a part.

More information can be found on the websites of Lloyds Register, Bureau Veritas, DNV, CCS and ABS.

Pressure systems and devices
All pressurized containment equipment or units are regulated by the guideline for Pressure System and Pressure Devices (PED). Examples of containment units are barrels and pipelines in LPG installations and air pressure systems. This guideline has consequences especially for (suppliers to) food processing industry, chemical industry and processing industry.

More information can be found on the Euronorm website.

Rijkswaterstaat NBD 6000 norm
This norm contains the requirements for the design, assembly, transportation, installation, and acceptance of hydraulic moving parts for moveable bridges, flood defences and/or their specific parts. The norm applies to new build, modification and repair situations.
